Paul B. Cornely, a three-time U-M alumnus (BS '98, MD '31, PhD '34) was a pioneer in the fight for equity and civil rights in public health. Throughout his career, he fought for the desegregation of hospitals and equal healthcare opportunities for all.
Paul Fleming, an associate professor of Health Behavior & Health Equity and the faculty lead for diversity, equity, and inclusion received an award for his contributions to public health through teaching, community-based research and mentorship.
