Field Experience
Michigan FPHLP participants will be placed at sites working on improving community health in the Greater Ann Arbor area at community-based organizations (CBOs), governmental health organizations, health systems, or research centers. At their field placement site, students are assigned a preceptor who is responsible for guiding and mentoring the students' work and progress.
For three days a week, participants will work on tasks that contribute to their project such as collect and interpret data, create communication materials, and work on special assignments. The field experience will culminate in the completion of a collection of deliverables generated by the participants through a poster presentation.
