Michigan Public Health Ranks among Top 4 Public Health Schools by U.S. News & World Report
The University of Michigan School of Public Health has been ranked the fourth Best Public Health School in the country by U.S. News & World Report. The school is the number two public school on the list of best schools of public health.
“To be ranked by our peers as one of the top schools of public health in the country reflects our mission to pursue a healthier, more equitable world for all,” said F. DuBois Bowman, dean of the University of Michigan School of Public Health. “Our community continues to conduct a high level of research, training and education that works to solve some of the biggest public health challenges we face today.”
In a separate category, U.S. News & World Report ranks the school’s Health Management and Policy program as third.
The rankings are based solely on the results of peer assessment surveys sent to deans, other administrators, and faculty at accredited degree programs and schools of public health. Respondents are asked to rate the academic quality of programs on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (outstanding), and the schools with the highest average scores appear in the rankings.
