Hi SPH! My name is Hope Parker (she/her), and I am a second year Health Behavior and Health Equity MPH student and the new Disability Culture GSSA! After graduating with my BA in psychology, I worked in various parts of the mental health field, including research, advocacy, and health education. Through both my personal and professional experiences, I witnessed the current of ableism that runs through many of our systems and disability’s many intersections with other marginalized identities. This brought me to SPH’s DEI team, where I hope to cultivate increased awareness about disability justice and equity for disabled students.
