Hi everyone! My name is Amber (she/her) and I am this year's DEI GSSA. I’m an incoming second-year dual-degree Master's student pursuing my Master of Public Health with the Health Behavior and Health Equity Department and a Master of Public Policy at the Ford School of Public Policy. I am excited to work with the SPH DEI Office this year! I decided to apply for this position because when I moved to Michigan from Oklahoma last year, I was a bit intimidated about finding a whole new community. However, the wonderful folks in the DEI office made me feel welcomed and confident that I was meant to be in this space. I hope to give back in that same way and use my position to create opportunities to spark joy throughout SPH. I can’t wait to meet everyone!
