Application Materials

• A current curriculum vitae.
• A 3-page document including a personal statement and a research proposal. This document will serve both to inform the creation of the mentorship team and as a basis for the small work-group activities during the summer institute. 
  • The personal statement (approximately 1 page) should address your
    • Interest in the MIWI Training Program
    • Current program of research 
    • Self-identified training needs that you hope will be addressed through this program. Please see our Partners page to see examples of the training resources offered to scholars. 
  • The research proposal (approximately 2 pages) should address your
    • Research questions or specific aims
    • Planned sample or data source(s)
    • General study design or approach
    • New this year: Please clarify how your proposal fits within the goals/priorities of the NIMH Strategic Plan
