Both prospective and admitted graduate students are invited to attend a virtual Faculty Lightning Talk with Dr. David Hutton, Associate Professor in Health Management and Policy, as well as Associate Professor of Global Public Health. Dr. Hutton also teaches in the Population and Health Sciences curriculum.
This informal setting will allow you to get to know more about Michigan Public Health faculty and have interaction with our student community.
Dr. Hutton will discuss how health-economic evaluations in general and cost-effectiveness analysis in particular, can have influence on global and national policy. Dr. Hutton will give examples of how his work has had policy impact, in particular, highlighting impact on hepatitis B treatment and vaccination policy in the US and globally, as well as on vaccination policy, particularly for newly-developed vaccines.
