It is estimated that less than half of American children achieve the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Hurley, a student enrolled in PH 615: Public Health in Action, will be traveling to Texas over spring break to help assess school physical activity policies in Brownsville, Texas.

Nine Michigan Public Health grad students will be flying down to the Rio Grande Valley during their spring break as members of the Public Health Action Support Team, or PHAST.
