Faculty Profile
Donglin Zeng, PhD
- Professor, Biostatistics
I was a faculty in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill from 2001 to 2023. I joined the Department of Biostatistics at the
University of Michigan in 2023.
- PhD, Statistics, University of Michigan, 2001
- MS, Mathematics, University of Science and Technology, 1995
- BS, Mathematics, University of Science and Technology, 1993
My current interest includes precision medicine, dynamic treatment regimes, machine
learning, high-dimensional inference, semiparametric models, survival analysis, electronic
health records and clinical trials. I am also interested in developing powerful statistical
methods/tools to solve emerging problems in many diseases including infectious diseases,
cancer, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and psychiatric disorders.
One of my on-going projects is to learn optimal treatment rules or policies using multiple data sources. Another project is to use high-dimensional and multi-domain disease markers collected from EHRs or digital phenotype data from sensors for disease diagnostics, prediction and treatment decisions.
