Francesca (FW) Williamson, PhD (she/her), is an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Learning Health Sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School. She is an
interdisciplinary scholar, qualitative methodologist, and leader of the HEiRS Lab.
Through methodological and empirical research, she examines how interactions with
people, place, and technologies (re)produce and subvert order in educational and health
settings. FW's current projects focus on interactions in pediatric care, learning
health systems, local food systems, and learning environments in STEM, medicine, and
health professions. Her primary goal is to forward research and praxis that promote
more humanizing, healing interactions, systems of care, and futures.
