The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR), Department of Learning Health Sciences, and Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation are co-hosting a symposium on Implementation Science and Learning Health Systems: Catalysts for Enhancing Real-World Health Impacts. The purpose of this symposium is to gather faculty, staff, learners, and community partners to share experiences and discuss strategies on integrating implementation science in learning health systems to design and evaluate quality initiatives focused on improving delivery of care and outcomes. The symposium will feature keynote addresses from: J.D. Smith, PhD, Professor and Vice Chair of Research, Department of Population Health Sciences, Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, University of Utah and Director, Dissemination and Implementation Science, Utah Clinical and Translational Science Institute; Leora Horwitz, MD, Professor of Population Health and Medicine, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Director, Center for Healthcare Innovation and Delivery Science, NYU Langone Health, Director, Division of Healthcare Delivery Science, Department of Population Health, NYU Grossman School of Medicine The symposium will also include a panel discussion with Michigan Program on Value Enhancement (MPrOVE) and Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs) on leveraging learning health systems for implementation science and fireside chat with Drs. Smith and Horwitz on pragmatic trials and implementation science in Learning Health Systems. Registration & breakfast at 8:00 am Lunch will be provided
