All faculty and staff are invited to “Accessibility in Action,” a comprehensive workshop presented by the Disability Equity Office. Accessibility in Action will guide us through the ways accessibility shapes equity on campus and beyond. This interactive session will examine how accessibility shapes equity across campus and in the broader community. Topics will include: -Why disability matters -Key concepts such as ableism -Principles of universal design -Inclusive language and etiquette -Workplace accommodations -The role and resources of the Disability Equity Office Together, we’ll learn how accessibility benefits everyone — not just those with disabilities. Accessibility: Live captioning will be provided. If you need any accommodations, please contact the SPH HR team at SPH-HRteam@umich.edu.
