Research Interests & Projects

My research interests primarily focus on cardiovascular disease and non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with a particular emphasis on their epidemiology, prevention, and management. I am deeply interested in understanding the risk factors, genetic influences, and social determinants that contribute to the development and progression of these diseases. My current projects involve investigating the impact of commercial determinants on NCDs and empowering frontline health workers in Pakistan to effectively address these health challenges. I am also actively involved in implementing WHO technical packages for diabetes and rheumatic heart disease in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
