Research Focus: My interests involve social determinants of health as related to infectious disease, including how the socioeconomic conditions and contexts of outbreaks are intertwined with the principle of health equity. I am also interested in the use of natural experiments in social epidemiology, reproductive health and abortion access, the role of social policy in health outcomes, and the measurement of structural racism in epidemiological studies.
